Pastor John Albert Kypfer, pastor for St. Martin Church (Neighborville/Hortontown) from 1857 until his death in 1893, came to Harborth, Frankfort, and Specht Schools in the Geronimo, Barbarossa, Clear Spring and Cordova areas to preach to eager worshippers. Pastor George Johann Muelder stepped in at St. Martin's and continued the missionary work of Pastor Kypfer until1898. . The name of the church in 1896 was Unabhangige Deutsche Protestantishe Kirchen Gemeinde von Guadalupe County, Texas. Translated into Independent German Protestant Church Congregation of Guadalupe County, Texas. |
