Trinity first met in the McGirk school house. It became a dual parish with Shive in 1906 until 1961. In 1970 these two congregations again shared pastors. Copies of Parish Records from Trinity Lutheran Church in Pottsville and St. Paul Lutheran Churches in Shive. between 1897 and 1969 are in the Region 4 South Archives, record 2003.19.1.
