An alphabetical index of shepherds is provided in the first folder in drawer 1 for Vol. 1-37 of the Wolf Collection as well as a list of the congregations in Vol. 12-37. Brief history of St. Paul Lutheran Church at Shelby, Texas on p.7. In Pastor Heinrich Merz file, p.12, has bits about life in early Texas. An autobiography 'Short Notes of my Pilgrim Life' translated to English from the black book in file. Pastor Johan Stricker file has bits about life in early Texas starting on p.67 in an article from St. Paul Lutheran Church at Mason, Texas. Also a letter to St. Chrischona in German written in 1872 about his experiences in Mason. Pastor Walter Schindehette wrote 'Grace Opened a Small Package', a summary of his ministry and how he saw God working in this world. Includes experiences in the 1960 to 1984 in Meridian, Mississippi; Butler, Alabama; and New Orleans, Louisiana and the Civil Rights movement Pastor Herman Mansur file has comments about becoming a missionary and working in New Guinea, p136. "A Memorable Experience" is a piece he wrote about his experience of witnessing a heart transplant operation when he was Chaplain at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital in Houston, Texas. Pastor Ernst Huber letter in German to St. Chrischona in 1875. |
