In 1913 Pastor J. Schroeder of Karnes City made the train ride to Sinton to conduct services once a month in the German language for the Lutheran families. Over the next few years Pastor J. A. Reuter of Orange Grove and Pastor Langholtz from Nixon served these families. Pastor F. A. Neumeister of the Ohio Synod arrived in 1916 and soon the Sinton-Woodsboro Parish was established In the early 1920s the parish was served by Pastor Richter. In 1925 the Evangelical Lutheran Zion Church of Sinton was formed by Pastor Listman of the United Llutheran Church.. It disbanded before too long. Taft Lutherans were organized by Rev. C. I. Bohls of Corpus Christi and soon Taft members and Sinton Lutherans merged into Grace Evangelical Lutheran Congregation of Sinton in 1929 |
