Notes |
New Sweden was a dual parish with Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Elgin (Lund) from 1966 to 1996. . The New Sweden Congregation first met in homes, school houses and the little stone church at Gregg. When the congregation built its first church in 1979 the community of New Sweden was known as Knight's Ranch. By 1887 the building was not large enough to accommodate the members and was extended. Also a chapel was built in 1896 in Manda Community to serve members living near there. |
