The content is Mission Board (LCA and ELCA) files containing correspondence, financial reports, grants, other reports and data gathered to sustain a mission. It covers a period of time between 1975 and 1999 although there is a letter requesting a Lutheran Church in 1972 and another letter stating some history written in 2004. The LCA had Hope Lutheran Church in Brownsville in 1968. Then skip to 1975 for the beginning of Spirit of Joy, also LCA. Somewhere around the late 1980's Spirit of Joy turned into Christian Community Lutheran Church (Center) which became Nueva Vida Lutheran Church. In 1998 Shepherd of the Valley was started.
