Koehler, that tells the origins of the Mexican Mission effort in South Texas in her own hand. The pages contain articles from various publications that help to tell the story; these articles also contain pictures of the important players in the Mexican Mission field in South Texas at the time. The second half of the scrapbook begins with a handwritten history titled "The American Lutheran Church at Work Among the Negroes" by Francis B. Smith and is followed by articles from various publications about the efforts of the church in the South among the African American population. |
