Pastor Adam Sager visited the community of Colettoville, once known as Steiner's Settlement, and conducted services in homes prior to 1872 whenthe community organized the "Evangelische Schul und Kirchen Gesellschaft". Pastors from Trinity Lutheran in Victoria served the congregation until 1928 when Colettovilld formed a parish with St. John's Lutheran Church of Goliad. The name of the congregation was changed to Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church of Colettoville in 1918. In 1954 they formed a parish with Emmanuel Lutheran of Inez, Texas. In 1881 church records were distroyed by a fire. |
