Correspondence between the Rev. Rudolf K. Markwald between 1989 and 1990 with the intent of finding out information of those seminarians who had attended the Confessing Church seminary in 1930s Germany, perhaps in preparation for his writing a book about the men of the Confessing Church and its role in Nazi Germany. These documents were brought to the ELCA Region 4-South Archives by Rev. David Schulte. Rev. Markwald had been a resident of Boerne, TX, in his later years and died there in 1990. He was a friend of Rev. Henry Schulte, David's father. It is presumed that upon Rev. Markwald's death, the family gave the folder to Henry Schulte for disposition. |
