Documents, correspondence, and lists supporting the reseach project begun by Carl and Leonora Wolf of identifying preaching points, early congregations and/or disbanded congregations in the ELCA Region 4-South, dating back to the 1830s. This project resulted in the list prepared by Luther Oelke titled Congregational Records Search Project which lists "...known disbanded or merged congregations, synodically authorized worshipping communities, preaching places and other locations of worship services as mentioned in pastors' journals, convention minute books, synodical publications and other archival records." |
