1907 a mission church was started in the Olmos Community by Reverend Julius Schroeder. In 1911 He traveled by train to Skidmore once every two months and met by one of the members and transported by horse and buggy to the Waldheim Schoolhouse for the church service. He lived and served the Lutheran church in Karnes City Texas. Tynan shared pastors with Grace Lutheran Church of Mathis. |
