Missouri Lutheran Synod Pastor Karl Breehne began to organize Lutherans in 1931 but in 1933 was told to go to Tyler. He did come back to Longview a few time to hold services but stopped in 1934. In 1935 the American Lutheran Church started helping. In 1946, Trinity Lutheran Church in Kilgore (Gregg County) voted to disband and sell the Church property in Kilgore and transfer their mmembership to First Lutheran in Longview. Items are added to these files as the archives receives them. |
