Lutherans were meeting to worship in homes as early as 1899. Lutheran Parishes changed over the years to includ all of some of the following communities: Poth, Denhawken, Floresville, Dewees (Deweesville). See 1982 history for correct account of Florescille-Dewees Parish, 1918. Peace Lutheran Church in Dewees disbanded in 1927 and members joined either First Lutheran Church in Floresville or St. John Lutheran Church in Poth. |
