The June 9, 1946, Vol. XXIV, No.23 issue of the periodical 'Lutheran Youth" in which the cover article is titled "The China Poblana" by Louise Stinetorf, illustrated by Iris B. Johnson. As told by Lois Luedtke, her mother, Edna Bohls Koehler would use this article and small accompanying black and white photo to tell the legend of the China Poblana and its importance to the Mexican people whom she and her husband, Rev. A.H. Koehler served in the Mexican Missions of South Texas. |
