The Evangelisch Lutherische Dreiernigkeitsgemeinde bei Lockney, located in Providence Community, was organized in 1911. .Early pastors served many other communities at times including St. Paul at (Cress) Kress, Shamrock, Turkey (Turkey Roost), Hale Center, Littlefield, Silverton, Wheeler, Gasoline, St Paul at Happy, Wilson, Trinity at Post (Post City), Slaton, Posey, Southland, St. Paul at Lazbuddie, and possible other congregations and/or preaching points.. Parish records for Happy are at Trinity in Lockney, Lazbuddie Parish records are in the Region 4 South Archives. Parish records on microfilm might be found in the Southwest Collection of the Texas Tech University Library for Slaton, Post, Lubbock, Lockney, Amarillo, Southland, Sparenberg, Wilson and maybe other Panhandle communities for the years 1918-1968.
