Scope & Content |
These documents were in the personal files of Pastor H.C. Ziehe. He copied the original records from documents originally filed with Comal County. His research, along with that of Leonora and Carl Wolf, establishes the basis of the historical record relating to St. Martin Lutheran Church, Neighborsville-Hortontown near New Braunfels, TX. "Copy of the original records of St. Martin Lutheran Church at Neighborsville-Hortontown (New Braunfels) with xerox duplications "Here also are copies of the history of the church prepared by Pastor M.S. Frueh at the time of the relocation of the church, and clippings from the local newspaper reflecting the controversy aroused by that relocation. As a contribution to the controversy, see the March 27 and 30, 1951 editions of the same newspaper [Herald Zeitung, New Braunfels] -- here (?) in the synodical anniversary file." See Finding Aids for a listing of the folders and their contents. |
