Notes |
Zion Lutheran Church disbanded in 2012. It was hit by the hurricane in 1900 and again in 2008. Most of their records, including Parish Records, were destroyed. Upon closing, they donated all of their assets to Lutherhill Ministries for the purpose of opening a retreat center on Galveston Island. Zion began as an Augustana Lutheran Synod congregation. The documents in this collection were gifted by Russell Halvorsen in memory of Rudy and Florence Halvorsen. |
