Folder 1 - Contains list of books belonging to Rev. Konzack (See SBox 9); explanation of the importance of the book by Paoli Sarpi "Historia del Concilio Tridentino, Deutsch, 1620" and how this volume came into his possession; also, correspondence concerning the value and importance of this particular book. Folder 2 - Contains correspondence and copies of court documents concerning Rev. Konzack's will. Folder 3 - Contains correspondence and materials concerning traffic accident January 22, 1963, involving Rev. Konzack. Folder 4 - Contains examples of German currency, ca. 1922, most marked as differing denominations from the Reichsbank as Reichsbanknotes; a sheet of coupons; and a 5% Bond, a loan of the town of Hagen in the province of Weatphalia, Germany, dated 1922. Folder 5 - Contains miscellaneous information about the German-Texan Heritage Society, Hill Country Group, their membership, minutes of some meetings and conferences, ca. 1997-1998. Also, contains a copy of what appears to be a confirmation certificate of Traugott Zoch dated April 9, 1876, at St. Paul [Lutheran] in Serbin, Lee County, Texas, signed by Johann Kilian, Pastor, attached to an article by Mary Agria titled "The Lutherans Time (almost) Forgot" which gives a history of the Wends of Texas; and a Bethany Lutheran Directory dated 1965 dedicated to the memory of Pastor Karl Konzack, 1875-1964. Folder 6 - Contains correspondence from Carl & Leonora Wolf to Henry Treptow concerning the translation of Rev. Konzack's papers from German to English. File contains copies of the documents, the original handwritten translation of Maria Wright, Seguin, TX, and the typed transcriptions of said tranlsations by Leonora Wolf. Folder 7 - Contains original letters of call (some just letters) in a deteriorating leather pouch and photo copies of some correspondence from Germany. Also contains a list of books from Rev. Konzack's library and other original documents, including Karl Konzack's U.S. Naturalization Certificate, dated Sept. 28, 1923; his social security card; his Graduation Certificate from St. Chrischona Mission, Basel, Switzerland, 1903-1904; Ordination Certificate, October 11, 1904; Marriage Certificate of Lydia Voigtlaender & Karl Konzack, May 2, 1905, signed by Pastor W. C. Wolfsdorff, Holy Cross, Yoakum, TX; 1st Grade Report, dated Dec. 1875-Nov. 1881; Confirmation Certificate (K) Carl Konzack, March 30, 1890; Receipt for Weapon to Karl Konzack, Wiesbaden, Wurtenbert "National Guard" 1896; Alien Registration, 1942, Lydia Konzack; Baptismal Certificate, Lydia Voigtlaender, Aug. 4, 1874; Government Certificate of Baptism of Lydia Voigtlaender; Confirmation Certificate of Lydia Voigtlaender, Palm Sunday, 1889; acknowledgment card for the Konzack Memorial Theological Fund at Texas Lutheran College; two other certificates for Karl Konzack in German and not translated, dated 1902 and 1907. Folder 8 - Contains various documents, letters, postcards detailing the life of Rev. Konzack and his wife, both in German and English, dating from 1898 to 1957, including letters to and from Harley House in England. Also included are letters to and from the Treptow's with reference to the correspondence of Annamarie Kolodziej. Poem written in German by Konzack in 1960 'St. Chrischona'. |
