Description |
This is a sepia-toned panoramic photograph of the main building and original open-air cottages at Grace Lutheran Sanatorium in San Antonio, Texas. The date is not given but supposed to be around 1913 or early 1920s. It is interesting to note the people in the photograph: nurses in uniform; a male patient; patients seated on the bottom and top floors of the porches; and the car in the driveway. This is obviously an early photograph as evidenced by the gravel driveway, the car, and the scrub brush all around. It is doubtful that the buildings in the background or the house tops in the foreground actually existed when this photo was taken. |
